Filipino-Inspired Chicken AdoboSamantha Glenn
We want to introduce you to our new Modern Plate meal – Filipino-Inspired Chicken Adobo.
With as many variations as street tacos or Bolognese sauce, this is considered by many the Philippines’s unofficial national dish.
Adobo is a method of marinating to enhance the food flavors (and once upon a time, to preserve it). You can find white adobo, yellow adobo, adobo cooked in coconut milk. There’s shrimp adobo or octopus adobo, but it is primarily made with chicken or pork. Our inspiration comes from the classic adobo, using the wonderful flavors of ginger, garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, and rice wine vinegar (a staple in the adobo meal). We combine it with Jasmine rice, chop suey, and Lumpia (little spring rolls). So, please sit back, relax, and let Modern Plate take care of dinner tonight with our latest, sure-to-be favorite meal!
